SPM Tips | Date Integration with Custom GIS
Many of our customers value GIS integration features with Smart Pavement Management (SPM). Data integration is key to ensuring SPM outputs work in daily operations.
SPM provides a Shapefile for all customers. Therefore, our customers can easily import the data and set an additional layer in custom GIS with the customers. Here is the process that we follow in the actual survey:
Master Data Preparation
We create point data with 33-foot intervals from your GIS line.
Data Collection
Our smartphone app takes pictures at the preset point every 33 feet.
Through the process, SPM ensures all the pictures and the Geolocation data match your custom GIS.
As a best practice, some clients import our Shapefile into their GIS and enhance their daily operations with SPM results. Also, other clients open the SPM results to the public on their web-based GIS.
